Vine Street Jump - Rabbit Foot Spasm Band

Here’s a video for this song, which we’ve never released. It’s up on Youtube for a couple of days only so if you like a good bit of Jump Blues do check it out.

Tickets are now on sale for our Cold War Party at the Jericho on October 4. Doors open at 7.30pm and there’s a full show from the Rabbit Foot Spasm Band plus excellent support from The Balkan Wanderers - who play a sort of fast, danceable Eastern European Indie music which I love - and Anastasia Gurbunova, a fine singer from Moscow. Get your tickets immediately from We Got Tickets http://www.wegottickets.com/event/290452

Stuart Macbeth Scratch Band - live at Bestival

6 days who’ve never played together. 4 of us have never met. I write some chords out on the ferry and lay them on the stage. This is the anarchic sound of the Stuart Macbeth Scratch Band, live at Bestival. Filmed by the Guildford Ghost. If any footage of the Rabbit Foot Spasm Band set emerges then I will post it but for now here’s a bit of fun!

Old Man Mose recorded by the Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band late night Sunday 31st August 2014 in my front room. Martin Martello #trumpet, Stuart Macbeth #vocal and #piano, Buzz Booker double #bass and Jesse Lloyd #drums. It’s a lovely old number written over red beans and rice by Louis Armstrong and Zutty Singleton way back in 1931, I think. #rabbitfootspasmband #vintagejazz #jazz #blues #louisarmstrong #jazzvocal

August was a tough month but this made it a little brighter
